Ho, Aug. 15, GNA – Mawuli School in Ho has been transformed into a vibrant display of red, white and blue as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) commenced its Regional Executive Election on the school campus.

The entrance to the school and its surroundings have been decorated with large billboards, banners and party flags, creating a colourful atmosphere that has attracted the attention of residents and passers-by.

The event has generated considerable public interest, drawing large numbers of people to the venue.

In addition to delegates and party officials, many residents who are not members of the party have also visited the school grounds to observe the electoral process.

A strong security presence has been deployed across the campus and along major access routes to ensure law and order throughout the exercise.

Security personnel have maintained strict vigilance at the entrance and other strategic points to guarantee a smooth, safe, and transparent voting process for delegates arriving from across the Volta Region.

Party officials have expressed satisfaction with the peaceful atmosphere and remain confident that the election will be conducted successfully and without incident.

Meanwhile, traders and party supporters have mounted extensive displays of NPP-branded paraphernalia around the venue.

Among the items on display are branded T-shirts, woven smocks, customised aprons, party caps, large flags, vehicle stickers, wristbands and keyholders bearing party symbols and the images of some executive aspirants.

Delegates and supporters were seen purchasing the items to demonstrate their solidarity with the party and their preferred candidates before entering the voting centre.

Vendors also expressed satisfaction with the level of patronage recorded since the start of the exercise.

Some traders who spoke to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) described sales as encouraging and said the election had created a good business opportunity.

Nana Yaa, a trader from Kumasi in the Ashanti region, said selling party paraphernalia was her mother’s main source of livelihood.

She explained that while her mother had travelled to Takoradi to market similar items, she had moved to the Volta region to take advantage of the demand generated by the regional election.
