Fijai Old Students Association Elects New Executives

By Emmanuel Gamson

Fijai (W/R), May 30, 2026 (GNA) – The Fijai Old Students Association (FOSA Global) has elected a new 13-member executive committee to steer the affairs of the association for the next two years.

The new executives were elected and sworn in during the Association’s 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM), held at the school’s Assembly Hall at Fijai.

The AGM was held under the theme “One Vision, One Legacy” and brought together past students from various year groups to take stock of past activities and deliberate on strategies to strengthen the Association.

Mr Abraham Quandahor, President of FOSA Global, on behalf of the newly elected executives, thanked members for the confidence reposed in them and the mandate to lead the Association for the next two years.

He said their election marked the beginning of a new chapter for FOSA Global and called on members to reconnect, collaborate, and reposition the Association for greater impact.

He pledged to work closely with the school administration to build stronger partnerships in support of academic excellence, infrastructure development, mentorship, and student welfare.

“The relationship between alumni and our alma mater must not be distant. It must be active, productive, and transformational,” Mr Quandahor said.

He added that the Association would strengthen its network through unity, engagement, and empowerment, stressing: “Unity will be our foundation, engagement will be our strategy, and empowerment will be our mission.”

He further called on members to support the executives to create opportunities for mentorship, career development, business networking, youth development, and collaboration for mutual benefit.

Mr Kwame Edjah, Board Chairman of Fijai Senior High School, appealed to the alumni to support school management in raising academic standards, maintaining discipline among students, and contributing to infrastructural development.

He expressed concern about declining discipline in the school and urged FOSA Global to help reverse the trend.

Mr Kenneth Agbomadze, Headmaster of the school, commended the Association for its continued support through various projects and initiatives aimed at the development of the school.
