Mahama begins his two-day Resetting Ghana Tour of Savannah Region

Accra, May 22, GNA – President John Dramani Mahama will on Friday begin his two-day Resetting Ghana Tour of the Savannah Region, starting from Sawla. 

A statement issued by the Presidency said the President would launch the National 

Basic Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (BSTEM) initiatives for basic schools and inspect key road projects, including the Sawla–Wa Highway and the Bole–Tinga road under the Big Push Programme.  

It said he would also cut sod for the Bole 24-hour Economy Model Market, development projects at Bole College of Education, and inaugurate the Mahama ICT Centre in Damongo. 

It noted that as part of the visit, President Mahama would commission education projects and pay courtesy calls on traditional authorities, including the Yagbonwura. 

The statement said on Saturday, he would engage directly with residents at Ndewura Jakpa SHS, alongside key sector Ministers, to discuss government achievements, ongoing policies, and address concerns of the people.  

It stated that the Tour would conclude with an inspection of the proposed Savannah Regional Hospital.
