Samuel Obeng scores in Albacete’s big win over Granada – Ghana Latest Football News, Live Scores, Results

Ghanaian striker Samuel Obeng came off the bench to score a crucial third goal as Albacete swept aside Granada 4–1 at the Estadio Carlos Belmonte.

Introduced on 70 minutes, Obeng needed barely a minute to make his mark, racing onto a clever pass from Lorenzo Aguado and slotting calmly past Luca Zidane to restore Albacete’s two-goal cushion at 3–1.

Earlier, early strikes from Jonathan Gómez and Lluís López had put the hosts firmly in control inside the opening quarter of an hour, only for Gonzalo Petit to pull one back and briefly rattle Rubén Albés’ side just after the hour. Obeng’s composed finish killed Granada’s momentum, and José Carlos Lazo’s late fourth, after a neat cut-back from Carlos Neva, turned a good performance into a statement win.

The goal continues a solid 2025/26 LaLiga2 campaign for Obeng, who has now made 22 league appearances, scoring 4 goals and providing 0 assists. Riding the high of this dominant victory, Albacete now turn their attention to another big test at home, as they host Eibar in their next LaLiga2 fixture.
