The U.S. Embassy in Ghana has announced the release of more than 2,000 additional visa appointment slots to be made available over the next two weeks for B1 and B2 travelers.
The embassy said the newly opened slots are targeted at individuals travelling for business engagements, family visits, tourism and those planning to attend the upcoming FIFA World Cup.
The update was shared in a post on X on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. It follows an earlier release of over 1,000 non immigrant visa appointments, which enabled many applicants to secure earlier interview dates.
The embassy is urging applicants who currently hold interview dates scheduled for later in the year to log into the system and reschedule to earlier available slots in order to benefit from the expanded capacity.
Prospective travelers have been advised to visit the embassy’s official visa page for further details and booking instructions.
The latest move comes in response to heightened demand for U.S. visas, as more Ghanaians plan trips that combine business, leisure and participation in major global events.
