The ongoing ‘war’ between the United States, Iran, and Israel has, over the past few days, dominated discussions across news portals and social media worldwide.

Amid the escalating tensions, some Ghanaian celebrities have found themselves stranded in Dubai after missiles were reportedly sighted landing in parts of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), leading to airspace closures and flight suspensions.

Below is a look at some Ghanaian personalities currently affected by the situation:

Kwaku Manu

The Ghanaian Kumawood actor made headlines on Sunday, March 1, 2026, after a video surfaced of him expressing frustration and regret over travelling to Dubai.

In the video, Kwaku Manu, who is in Dubai to purchase perfumes for his business, said he wished he had not made the trip.

“I came here to look for something to eat, but why did I even come here in the first place? I came to buy perfumes. I received a message this morning telling us to seek immediate shelter,” he said.

YouTuber ZionFelix is also among the Ghanaian personalities reportedly stranded in Dubai.

In a series of videos shared online, he explained that he was only transiting through the country but ended up stranded at the airport after all flights were suspended.

He also expressed frustration, revealing that he had misplaced some of his equipment during the chaotic situation at the airport.

Black Queens players

The players and technical team of the Black Queens are also among the Ghanaians stranded in the UAE after the country reportedly closed its airspace and cancelled flights.

Earlier reports indicated that the players were confined to their rooms and instructed by team officials to pack their luggage in preparation for a possible evacuation.

In a recent update, the team’s Media Officer, Matilda Dimedo, stated that the Black Queens are expected to continue participating in the Pink Ladies’ Cup.

She added that “the team’s stay remains subject to the status of regional airspace. If the airspace is cleared before their final game against Tanzania, the team may opt for an early departure. Otherwise, they will complete the tournament and wait for a safe window to fly out.”
