The police emphasised that their presence will not be limited to election day alone. Patrols will continue before and after the polls to deter potential disturbances and reassure voters that their safety remains a priority.

At the same time, the Command issued a strong warning against any actions that could undermine the credibility of the exercise.

“The Accra Regional Police Command cautions the public against engaging in acts of violence, intimidation, spreading misinformation, or any conduct that may undermine the integrity of the electoral process,” the Police warned.

The police stressed that anyone found flouting the law will face the full rigours of Ghana’s legal system, underscoring their commitment to enforcing order fairly and firmly.

Residents have also been encouraged to turn out peacefully, exercise their civic duties responsibly, and promptly report any suspicious activity to security agencies.
