Auroralab Advances Nigerian AI Innovation for Social Good

Auroralab, a Nigerian artificial intelligence innovation centre, has launched an initiative inviting organisations and individuals to submit real-world problems for the development of AI-driven solutions that address pressing societal and business challenges.

The centre, also known as Auroralab, said the call is aimed at ensuring artificial intelligence is applied to tangible issues affecting real people, rather than remaining largely experimental. Priority areas for submissions include education, healthcare, agriculture, climate and environmental sustainability, economic development, governance, and business operations, including growth, customer engagement, and finance for small- and medium-scale enterprises.

In a statement to The PUNCH, Project Manager at Auroralab, Abdullah Mumuni, said the hub operates around three core objectives: delivering high-impact AI-driven development solutions for Africa, building AI-powered global business tools, and training world-class Nigerian AI engineers capable of competing internationally.
