ULTRA South Africa 2026: Headliners Revealed

ULTRA South Africa has announced its headline acts for the festival’s highly anticipated 11th edition, set to take place across two cities in April 2026.

The electronic dance music extravaganza will return to Johannesburg’s Expo Centre at Nasrec on Saturday 25 April, before moving to Cape Town’s The Ostrich venue the following day.

Heavyweight acts

This year’s Main Stage will be headlined by an impressive roster of international talent, including tech-house sensation John Summit, French electronic music producer DJ Snake and progressive house legend Axwell. Festival-goers can also expect a special back-to-back performance from Dutch DJs Afrojack and R3hab.

The supporting line-up features a mix of local and international artists, including Apashe, Kyle Watson, DJ Kent and TiMO ODV, performing alongside Kyle Cassim as well as Indigo, Headroom, Geometric Flux, Niskerone, Dakota and Kurt April.

The festival’s Resistance Stage will showcase the underground electronic music scene, with New York legend Dennis Ferrer and South African powerhouse Shimza leading the charge. They’ll be joined by Major League DJz, Caiiro, De Capo, Enco Napa, Kitty Amor, Mpho.Wav, Mila-Rose, Baby Whitz and Kid Fonque.

Celebrating African electronic culture

Johannesburg will once again host The Groove Room, a dedicated space highlighting African electronic music culture. This high-energy stage will feature prominent acts, including Scorpion Kings, DBN Gogo, Liquideep, Dlala Thukzin, Oscar Mbo, DJ Lag, Que DJ, Sun-El Musician and several emerging local talents.

Additionally, the UMF Radio Stage, presented by Confessions.za, will make its Johannesburg debut as an intimate venue for experimental sounds, featuring artists such as Dean Fuel, Cinimin, Chunda Munki and Vimo.

Fest’s growth and legacy

Since launching in 2014, ULTRA South Africa has established itself as a cornerstone event in the country’s music calendar, attracting tens of thousands annually from across SA and neighbouring countries. The festival has consistently attracted world-class electronic music acts and has become essential viewing for dance music enthusiasts.

The local festival forms part of the global ULTRA Worldwide brand, which operates festivals across six continents, including the flagship ULTRA Music Festival in Miami.

Tickets are available through the festival’s official website, with general access starting from R995 and VIP packages from R2 000. People from Johannesburg can also purchase VVIP packages from R4 500, while exclusive table bookings are available via email.

The festival organisers have emphasised limited availability across all ticket categories, encouraging early purchase for those planning to attend the 2026 edition.
