Two people were injured on Sunday morning after a car crashed into a tea shop at the Tashar Babiye area of Bauchi State capital.
The accident involved a vehicle that reportedly lost control before veering off the road and ramming into the roadside tea shop. The driver sustained injuries, while an elderly blind man who was inside the shop was seriously hurt, as he was unable to see the vehicle approaching to evade it.
Eyewitnesses said passersby and residents quickly came to the aid of the victims and rushed them to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention.
The incident has once again drawn attention to the risks faced by traders and vendors operating along major roads, raising concerns over their safety and the need for stricter traffic control measures in busy areas of the city
