By Patience Tawiah

Nkwanta (O/R), Jan. 31, GNA- A total of 831 delegates are expected to decide the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential slot in the Nkwanta South Constituency in the presidential primary.

The delegates are drawn from the party’s recognised electoral colleges within the constituency, including polling station executives, electoral area coordinators, elders, patrons, constituency executives, and other statutory members in line with the party’s constitution.

Mr Felix Owusu-Gyimah, former MCE of Nkwanta South, who doubles as the constituency secretary, said all the necessary arrangements have been put in place to ensure a peaceful, transparent, and orderly voting process.

He also emphasised that security agencies within the municipality had also been notified to provide adequate protection before, during, and after the election.

He also urged delegates to conduct themselves with discipline and unity, emphasizing that the outcome of the election should strengthen the Party ahead of 2028 general elections.

Supporters of all aspirants have also been urged to avoid any act that might undermine the credibility of the process with the NPP remaining as one united family despite differences.

In all, a total of 5,465 candidates are expected to take part in the elections in the Oti Region with Nkwanta South, having the highest number of delegates.
