Ghana stands at a defining moment. Our nation is yearning for a new breath, a new direction, a new face. There comes a time when the old bottle must be emptied — not out of disrespect, but out of necessity. When the bottle holds stale water for too long, it cannot purify itself. It cannot transform on its own. When old wine vibrates it signals always that it needs help not to be renewed but to be poured away so a new one can be filled. It must be cleansed, renewed, and refilled with fresh, life‑giving wine.
Old, polluted water cannot suddenly become pure. Old serpent is still a serpent. Old liar is still a liar. Such products cannot magically reinvent themselves. And so, as a nation, we must acknowledge when the moment for renewal has arrived. That moment is now to renew the old bottle and fill with new wine.
National elections matter. They shape the future we hand to our children. They determine the direction of our communities, our economy and our collective destiny. As we stand on the eve of an important internal election tomorrow, we must approach it with clarity, courage and unity.
This is not just another vote. It is a crossroads, a moment that demands honesty, boldness and a willingness to embrace transformation. Change is never simple. It stretches us, challenges us, and sometimes unsettles us. But change is also the birthplace of progress. As former President Barack Obama once said, “Change is never easy, but always possible.” His words remind us that transformation requires discipline, vision and the humility to put collective good above personal comfort. A collective mind above personal interest and the best time is now.
As we prepare for tomorrow’s decision, let us choose peace over tension, respect over rivalry and dignity over division. Let us support the direction we believe will strengthen our party and restore confidence among our grassroots, our youth, our elders and the millions who look to us for leadership.
And when the ballots are counted, let us remember that we remain one family, bound by shared values, shared history, and a shared destiny. No matter the outcome, our unity is our greatest strength.
A Message to the Nation. As we emerge from another important party election, Ghana stands at a crossroads where unity matters more than ever. Every group in our society has a role to play in restoring peace:
To Religious Groups. You are the moral backbone of our nation. Continue to preach peace, patience and reconciliation.
To Traders and Market Women. You keep our economy alive. Let peace guide your interactions, marketing and protect your livelihoods.
To the Youth. You are the heartbeat of Ghana. Reject violence and manipulation. Choose innovation and nation‑building.
To Journalists and the Media. Your words shape public understanding. Let truth, fairness and responsibility guide your work.
To Politicians. Leadership is not only about winning power; it is about protecting the nation that grants that power. Put Ghana first.
To Party Affiliates and Supporters. Your passion drives democracy, your decision empowers democracy, but passion must never become hostility. We must celebrate delegates’ choice with humility. Accept disappointment with dignity for us to always remain one people.
Conclusion.
Let us go to the polls in peace to vote in peace, choose in peace, accept results in peace and move forward in peace so we may win the hearts of the citizens in peace and serve them in peace.
