The capital’s corporate giants and fitness enthusiasts are preparing to swap their business suits for sneakers as the nation’s most anticipated fitness festival, the Joy FM Big Workout, storms the University of Ghana Stadium on Saturday, January 31, 2026.

In preparation, media personalities under the Joy brand are also lacing their trainers to swap with the microphone ahead of the ultimate New Year health reset.

The 2026 edition of the Joy FM Big Workout aims to wash away the lethargy of the festive season and replace it with a high-octane morning of wellness, networking, and collective movement.

Led by the powerhouse team of The Multimedia Group, the event has become a staple for those looking to kickstart their health goals with the support of Ghana’s most trusted media brand.

This year’s event features an unprecedented lineup of Joy FM icons who will not only host but also sweat alongside participants.

Leading the pack is the vibe-master himself, Lexis Bill, host of Drive On Joy, who is renowned for his personal commitment to fitness.

Joining him will be the Super Morning Show crew, led by Kojo Yankson and Winston Amoah, who are trading their microphones for water bottles to engage with their listeners in a more physical arena.

Sports enthusiasts can also expect to see Nathaniel Attoh and the Joy Sports team bringing their competitive edge to the aerobics floor, while the queen of the airwaves, Doreen Andoh, as well as screen goddesses Roselyn Felli and aKorfa, will bring their groove to the sports arena.

Several powerful personalities behind the exciting programmes and shows of the Joy brand are also expected to light up the event with vigour, translating perfectly into cardiovascular endurance.

The morning kicks off at 5:00 a.m. sharp at the University of Ghana Stadium car park.

To ensure participants are sufficiently warmed up, the session begins with a scenic but brisk health walk.

The 2026 route has been strategically mapped to challenge the body:

  1. Start: University of Ghana Stadium.
  2. Phase 1: Brisk march toward the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA).
  3. Phase 2: Passing the serene Trinity Church environment.
  4. Phase 3: A push toward the Bawaleshie traffic light.
  5. Phase 4: The final stretch—turning right at Okponglo and sprinting back to the stadium gates.

Aerobics, Music, and Corporate Bragging Rights

Upon returning to the stadium, the atmosphere will shift from a walk to a high-intensity carnival. Top-tier fitness instructors will take the stage, backed by a live DJ set curated to push participants to their limits.

A unique highlight of the 2026 Big Workout is the Corporate Wellness Challenge.

Major institutions are encouraged to attend in full corporate regalia, turning the stadium into a kaleidoscope of brand colours.

It is not just a workout; it is a networking hub where CEOs and entry-level staff from various sectors—banking, telcos, and insurance—bond over the shared struggle of a mountain climber or a burpee.
