John Kwadwo Gyapong is the Oti Regional Minister
John Kwadwo Gyapong, the Oti Regional Minister, has criticised the Akufo-Addo administration for failing to complete several development projects in the Oti Region.
In an interview with the Ghana News Agency, the minister cited stalled projects including the Oti Regional Coordinating Council administration block, regional police administration block and housing complex, Agenda 111 hospitals, the regional education office and other key government infrastructure.
He also mentioned uncompleted roads such as Dambai–Nkwanta South, Worawora–Jasikan, Dambai town roads and the Nkwanta–Damanko stretch of the Eastern Corridor Road.
Gyapong claimed the Oti Region leads in abandoned projects nationwide, alleging that the previous administration failed to complete both inherited and newly initiated projects.

He assured residents that President John Dramani Mahama was committed to completing the abandoned projects to boost economic growth.
The minister also disclosed plans to engage the Ministry of Interior on a possible review of the curfew imposed on Nkwanta South, citing reports from the Municipal Security Committee indicating improved peace.
He said discussions would be held with the Regional Security Committee before formally communicating recommendations to the Interior Ministry.
Gyapong commended the three ethnic groups in Nkwanta South for observing the curfew and contributing to the prevailing peace.
