The Chief of Boinso in the Aowin Municipality of the Western North Region, Nana Kwadwo Miah, has appealed to political leaders, security agencies and other stakeholders to help maintain peace amid an ongoing land dispute between the communities of Jama and Boinso.

According to a report by adomonline.com on January 6, 2026, the appeal comes amid the backdrop of rising tensions over the ownership and use of portions of land between the two communities, raising fears of a possible escalation if the situation is not properly managed.

Addressing residents and opinion leaders in Boinso, Nana Miah cautioned that land-related conflicts have the potential to trigger long-term instability and loss of lives.
