Denrele Edun, an actor and media personality, is approaching his third decade in the entertainment industry, which is no small accomplishment.
Taking to his Instagram page, he penned a note to himself, he stated how he had been labeled several names, from Anorexic to Malnourished and even HIV positive and now he is adding weight and it’s so beautiful for him to see.
Ahead of the huge milestone scheduled for May, Denrele Edun recalled how a famous DJ’s wife told his favorite designer not to style him.
To make matters worse, she told her not to let Denrele touch her children because she felt he had HIV.
She saw the media personality at the time as thin and concluded he had a sickness. Denrele, who heard her statement, only listened and smiled.

Reflecting on his experience, he wrote,
“Denrele, you’re a SAFE SPACE.
A place that’s practically non-existent in this cràzy industry of ours, but you represent that and MORE”, @kachioffiah said to me whilst on the Arise 360 Live Show yesterday.

With a good Ear, refinement, and a degree of Performance perfection that is enviable, she sure made my time on @arisenewsofficial @arisetvafrica worth every second!

“Can’t you see how Skinny he is? He looks so Diseased”, the jobless wife spluttered in a voice note.
I listened and smiled.
So here’s to adding WEIGHT in all the right places; My 27-inch waist is now 30!
Who knew this day would ever come?
