A significant change is on the horizon in the regional ministerial leadership of the country by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo after recent reshuffle.
Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih, who currently holds the position of Upper West Regional Minister, is poised to undertake a move later this month to the neighboring Upper East Region, assuming the role of the new Regional Minister.
Concurrently, Stephen Yakubu, the incumbent Upper East Regional Minister, is set to transition to the Upper West Region, taking over the responsibilities as the new Regional Minister. This strategic ministerial reshuffle is part of administrative adjustments within the regional setup, with a focus on optimizing leadership dynamics and operational efficiency.
While no official reasons have been provided for the impending reshuffle, speculations have arisen regarding the anticipated capabilities and effectiveness of Stephen Yakubu, in the Upper West Region compared to his current role in the Upper East Region.
According to sources with the raging battle in Bawku between the Kusasis and Mamprusis, Mr Yakubu cannot be a good umpire since he is aligned to one of the feuding factions.
The regional dynamics and potential synergies between the incoming ministers and the respective regions are anticipated to drive positive outcomes.
