You’re a liar, no one poisoned John Kumah – Okatakyie Afrifa tells Captain Smart –

Media personality, Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah has characterized the recent claims by Onua TV presenter, Captain Smart, regarding what caused the untimely death of the deputy finance minister, John Kumah as false.

Speaking on Angel TV he indicated Captain Smart’s claims should not be encouraged as his statements lack evidence.

“Captain Smart you’re mad, you have a mental problem because you saw someone putting poison in someone’s food and couldn’t stop or alert anyone. You’re a liar. Your claims of someone poisoning John Kumah and Wontumi are false,” he added.

He expressed shock as to why a rational human being as Captain Smart would sit unconcerned when he saw someone poisoning food that was to be consumed by an individual.

Captain Smart had alleged that the deceased died from food poisoning, linking it to an event he attended with the Ashanti regional chairman for New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Bernard Bosiako Antwi (Chairman Wontumi).

According to him, he was intentionally poisoned because of his political ambitions, stating that he represented a threat to certain party leaders.

“He has been poisoned 3 times, ask Osei-Kyei-Mensah if I am telling lies. His wife is a nurse. So now when he is travelling his wife carries along and accompanies him. Osei Kyei Mensah has been poisoned 3 times, some people have marked him for death. I know what I am saying. When you meet Kyei Mensah Bonsu tell him I am the one who is making the claim.

“When they failed to kill Osei Kyei Mensah through poison, those evil individuals channelled their attention to Hon. Andy Appiah Kubi and poisoned him. After they had succeeded they went after John Kumah,” he added.

The late minister passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024.

According to reports, he collapsed in his office and was swiftly transported to a hospital for medical treatment.

Subsequently, due to a decline in his condition, he was flown out of the country.

The Member of Parliament for Ejisu in the Ashanti Region, Dr. Kumah, was known for his diverse roles as a Lawyer, Entrepreneur, and dedicated Politician.

He is survived by Apostle Mrs. Lilian Kumah, and six children.
