Run away from this country if you have the least chance-Captain Planet

Rapper Captain Planet has urged Ghana’s youth to shed any sense of patriotism because he feels that the politicians don’t care about them.

Additionally, he advised them to take advantage of every chance to leave the nation and seek better opportunities outside, never to return to a nation bereft of self-serving politicians whose sole goal is to enrich themselves and their families.

The former leader of the now-defunct 4×4 music trio claims that Ghanaian politicians are amassing wealth abroad at the expense of the people; hence, they should also ‘act fast.’

He posted this thought-provoking, if contentious, message on X (formerly Twitter), saying:

“If you’re fortunate enough to leave this country please don’t come back. These leaders are only acquiring properties for their families & they don’t give a shit about you. Don’t die for this country in the name of being patriotic. Your future is not secured here . BE WISE”

His statements were shared a few days after Ghana celebrated its 67th Independence Day. On March 6, people across the nation demonstrated their patriotism by participating in a variety of events during the centennial parade and considering how far the nation had come through many political, social, and economic eras.

However, Ghana’s economy is currently having difficulties, and the country’s administration is being viewed with disdain due to the surge in commodity prices.

Many Ghanaians are worried about how this would affect the NPP’s chances of remaining in power following the 2024 elections.
