The Merseyside Reds midfielder, Georginio Wijnaldum who On 4 December 2019, just two days after being voted 26th in the polls for the 2019 Ballon d’Or award, scored for Liverpool in the club’s 5–2 Merseyside derby win over Everton which extended the Reds’ unbeaten run in league football to a club-record 32 matches delivered a heart warming message to the fans of LFC today. In his tweet he said
