Tilly Jackson Lectures Aplus and Afia Schwarzenegger On Who A Celebrity Is

Budding Ghanaian singer Tilly Jackson has shared her views about who a Celebrity is.

There has been a confusion in the minds of most Ghanaians as to who really is a True Celebrity.

Debates who in Ghana deserves to be called a celebrity came up after the likes of football legends Asamoah Gyan and Michael Essien trolled some Ghanaian slay queens who pride themselves as celebrities in Ghana.

Their jabs followed a snub on some Ghanaian actresses and entertainers by American rapper Cardi B in the ‘meet and greet’ brouhaha and indicated that celebrity status has become so cheap.

After the incident happened, some Ghanaians claimed the likes of Akuapem Poloo, Moesha Boduong, Afia Schwarzenegger, Haijia 4Real, Efia Odo, Sandra Ankobiah among others cannot be qualified as celebrities.

Afia Schwarzenegger and A Plus lashed out at the popular footballers for mocking the female celebrities who were snubbed by Cardi B.

Tilly Jackson who is a singer, model and actress has schooled Afia Schwarzenegger and A plus on who a celebrity is.

According to Tilly Jackson, she does not see herself as a celebrity and the word has been misused by some people.

“A celebrity is someone who is celebrated , that is how I understand it. You should be known worldwide and not just in your country. There are some people in Ghana who claim to be celebrities but they are not even known in Kasoa.I’m not a celebrity yet. A perfect example of a celebrity is Asamoah Gyan because he is well known” Tilly Jackson told First Lady, host of ‘The BrownGH Show’.
