American-based Ghanaian filmmaker, Leila Djansi has in a recent interview recalled how her African accent or better still tone has cost her.
Speaking on Hitz Fm, the producer of “Tides That Binds” movie shockingly revealed that her African accent has made her lost uncountable number of jobs.

Detailing what the outside world doesn’t like about those who speak in African accent, Leila posited that those who speak in African accent are described as incapable.
So, she advised all Africans especially those in the movie industry to work on their accent only if one desires to go international and get big endorsement deals as well.
