EPL: Gary Lineker mocks Mourinho after Tottenham’s 2-1 loss to Manchester United

Former England professional footballer, Gary Lineker, has mocked Tottenham manager, Jose Mourinho after his side suffered a 2-1 defeat by Manchester United in the Premier League at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.

Mourinho, a former Manchester United boss, took his Spurs side to Old Trafford to take on the Red Devils in the Premier League almost exactly a year after he was sacked.

United were in good form, however, and Marcus Rashford’s two goals ended up securing the three points for the home side, despite Dele Alli’s equaliser before half-time.

The defeat was Mourinho’s first as Tottenham boss.

And Lineker, a former Tottenham star, took to Twitter to poke fun at Mourinho after watching his side succumb to their first Premier League defeat under the Portuguese coach.

Posting on Twitter after the final whistle, Lineker wrote: “Mourinho’s struggles at Old Trafford continue.”

Manchester United will now turn their attentions towards their crunch Premier League clash against Manchester City at The Etihad on Saturday night.
