Black Meteors defender Zakaria Fuseini has attributed his side’s sterling performance against Mali in the ongoing U23 AFCON tournament to hardwork and determination.
Under fire striker Kwabena Owusu came off from the bench and scored two goals to helped the Black Meteors to beat their Malian counterparts by 2-0 to secure a semi final place on Thursday night.
Speaking to FootballmadeinGhana.com after the game, Zakaria expressed his happiness with the results and attributed it to hardwork and determination.
“We won the game due to hard work, determination and prayers. I’m so happy we won our game. Now we have to shift our focus on our next game,” he said.
Ghana qualified alongside Egypt from Group A and will now face the winner of Group B in the semis.
