AirtelTigo Business, in
partnership with Samsung, has launched a customized smart phone package for
public and private sector employees across the country.

The offer – Flex Plus –
enables workers to easily own a smart phone device and pay in installment over
a period of 24 months.

The move by the two
organizations is aimed at digitally empowering workers while deepening the
country’s smart phone penetration.

Speaking during the launch
of Flex Plus, the Chief Business Officer for AirtelTigo, Ethel Anamoo, said the
offer was the first of its kind in the telecommunications industry in Ghana.

“We are pleased to
collaborate with Samsung on this initiative and we are committed to offering
solutions that will provide value and support workers productivity,” she added.

She disclosed that with the
purchase of any Samsung ‘A Series, Galaxy Note and Galaxy S 10 device’, under
the package, workers would gain 40 per cent more on data with no expiry, and 30
per cent on voice minutes.

She further explained that
workers would enjoy free peer-to-peer mobile money transactions on AirtelTigo
Money in addition to free power banks, travel routers, Bluetooth speakers,
selfie stick, among others.

The Managing Director for
Samsung Ghana, Eugene Nahm, expressed his excitement about the partnership
which, according to him, would bring technology closer to Ghanaians.

“From our recently launched
Galaxy Note 10 which was designed to help users achieve more to the Galaxy A
Series with versatile cameras, uninterrupted infinity display and long-lasting
battery life, all these amazing devices can now be owned and paid for flexibly
through this partnership with AirtelTigo Business,” he said.

He said workers would get a
two-year warranty for the purchase of Samsung smart phone through Flexi Plus
offer, adding that this year marks 10 years of Galaxy, with relentless and
meaningful innovations that have shaped and will continue to define the mobile
industry.
