Uptown Energy boss Yaa Pono aka Ponobiom has defended why he failed to wish dancehall artiste Shatta Wale a happy birthday yesterday.
According to the “Amen” singer, during a recent interview, revealed that his only friends in the industry are Sarkodie, Fameye, Kabum, Medikal, and few others so why should he act pretentious and wish him a happy birthday just because everyone is doing the same.
‘Shatta Wale and I are not friends, I celebrated Sarkodie on his birthday because we’re friends. I don’t even know Shatta’s birthday date,’ he stated categorically.
It would be remembered that the two were entangled in a lyrical beef some years ago and Ghanaians declared Yaa Pono the winner after he released his Gbee Nabu track.
