It seems legendary Ghanaian musician, Gyedu Blay Ambolley doesn’t like how the two biggest dancehall artistes in Ghana, Shatta Wale, and Stonebwoy, sing.
In a recent interview, Gyedu Blay Ambolley noted that he feels very sad whenever he hears these two artistes sing in the Jamaican language, PATIOS.
Gyedu Blay Ambolley is suggesting that what Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy use in the songs is not Patois and that they should label that ‘wack’ language as Patois.
In his view, he said these two should rather be singing using the broken English language.
Speaking on Hitz FM’s ‘Success Story’, Ambolley said;
“If I hear @shattawalegh and @stonebwoyb trying to sing in Patois I feel sad, I think they should rather do it in broken English”
