Black Stars deputy skipper, Kwadwo Asamoah, has been named in Inter Milan starting line up to face Lecce in their season opener in the Italian Serie A on Monday.
Asamoah who signed for the Nerazzurri side from Juventus last season was rumoured not to be part of the new manager, Antonio Conte’s plans.
But the 30-year-old has been handed the wing back responsibilities alongside Antonio Candreva as the coach seek to play his favourite 3-5-2 formation.
Asamoah who mostly play as midfield with the Black Stars has always been deployed as a wingback in the Italian Serie A.
According to reports by Corriere dello Sport, the club’s record signing, Romelu Lukaku could make his debut for the club so is Stefano Sensi.
Danilo D’Ambrosio, Stefan de Vrij and Milan Skriniar are expected to make up the back three and to play in front of skipper and goalkeeper Samir Handanovic, while Lautaro Martinez would partner Lukaku up front.
