Reno Omokri has condemned the generalisation that all Igbos are criminals, following a list of fraudsters released by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI, indicating that close to 99% of the suspects are from the Southeastern part of Nigeria.
The FBI had published a list of 77 Nigerians involved in what they have described as the biggest fraud in the history of the U.S.
According to Omokri, although he doesn’t condone what the 77 Nigerians have done, but he referenced Nigeria’s late military head of state, Sani Abacha, whom he described as the world biggest thief from Kano.
In a few tweets on Friday, Omokri also referenced Kano state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, who was allegedly caught on tape, stuffing straps of Dollars in his ‘babariga’.

He tweeted: It is wrong to cast aspersions on Igbos due to the names on the FBI’s suspects list. I don’t condone what they are alleged to have done. But Sani Abacha is the WORLD’S BIGGEST EVER THIEF, yet a stadium is named after him in Kano. We’re all GUILTY!
