President NanaAkufo-Addo (R) with Ya Na Abukari Mahama II
The Overlord of the Dagbon Traditional Area, Ya Na Abukari Mahama II , has praised President Nana Akufo-Addo for the Tamale Interchange and other developmental projects in the Northern region.
According to the overlord, the projects were employing many youth in the region.
He made the remarks when President Akufo-Addo visited the region to cut sod for the phase 2 of the Tamale International Airport Project.
The Ya Naa said the phase 2 of the Tamale International Airport will benefit Northern Ghana enormously and farmers will be motivated to put in their best.
“Dagbon has demonstrated its support for the Tamale airport project by making available the lands required. I have also directed all Chiefs on whose lands the airport is situated to support the contractors every step of the way,” he said.
The overlord of Dagbon urged the contractors to respect the human rights and dignity of their workers.
Ya Naa however appealed to President Akufo-Addo to complete the Eastern corridor road and other roads in the Northern region that needs rehabilitation.
