Meet Araba, contestant of Citi TV’s 2019 Voice Factory

Viewers of Citi TV, will from tomorrow (July 13, 2019) enjoy the live performances of the music talent discovery show, Voice Factory.

The programme which airs at 7 pm will feature 10 talented singers who made it through the fiercely contested auditions.

Genevieve Antwi-Nuamah, also known as Araba, is one of the contestants preparing for tomorrow’s show.

Araba is an intern at the West African Centre for Cell Biology of Infectious Pathogens at the University of Ghana.

She believes all the contestants are good for the competition but she stands tall among them and will beat them to the ultimate prize of GHc 10,000.

Also competing for the coveted prize are Cleck Boyson, Sandra Ntiful Idara, Samuel Adjasoo and Kenny Kings.

The rest are Franklina Konadu, Ababio Joana, Stephen Baiden-Worgloh, Deborah Aflapkui and Charisma Logo.

The 10 selected singers will battle it out for the top spot, in live performance shows in a period of 13 weeks.

The judges for the competition, music producer, Kaywa, rapper EL and gospel musician, Edinam Bright-Davies are also ready to assess the performances of the contestants and ultimately decide who wins.

The contestants will be taken through voice training and other grooming tasks that will harness their musicianship.

The 4th edition of the competition which was previously aired on Citi 97.3 FM is meant to unearth music talents and put them in the limelight.

The programme which started in 2009 has had artists like Fritz Hehetror, Melody Wilson, Natasha Odoi emerging as winners.

‘Voice Factory’ will be aired on Citi TV on Saturdays at 7 pm with daily updates at 12 pm.

The show will be compered by Osei Kwame, co-host of Citi FM’s late afternoon drive, Traffic Avenue and AJ Sarpong, host of Brunch in the Citi on Citi FM and Hall of Fame on Citi TV.
