Black Stars coach, Kwesi Appiah, has stated that Aduana Stars need to improve if they want to go far in their CAF Champions League campaign.

The “Ogya Boys” saw off Libyan opposition Al Tahadi 2-0 at home to qualify to the last round of qualifiers with a 2-1 aggregate victory.

The two-time Ghana Premier League champions will now face ES Setif of Algeria for a place in the group stages of the competition.

Appiah, who was in Dormaa to watch Aduana’s game, later told reporters: “I thought they did well tactically. But I think they missed some chances and would need to improve ahead of the next round.

“I know the coach [Yussif Abubakar] is doing well but he will have to make sure that going forward, he can improve the team.”

Aduana will host ES Setif on 6th March in the first leg before flying to Algeria for the return encounter 10 days later.
