According to Ben Darkwa who also wrote the story for the movie, he was inspired by the many abusive relationships woman are enduring and decided to put that into a movie.

“I have already written a book on domestic violence and I really had good feedback on the book and that is why I decided to make a movie out of it. I realized a lot of people are suffering different forms of abuse in their relationships,” he said.

He added that his production house is preparing to see the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection to see how they team up to drum home the message of domestic violence.
