Interim Black Queens coach Mercy Tagoe is confident of their chances of beating Nigeria at the ongoing WAFU Zone B Nations Cup.

Ghana will face Nigeria in the semi finals of the competition after finishing second in Group A.

Nigeria, who are sitting atop of Group B with six points only need a point against Togo on Monday to cement their place in the second round of the competition.

“Whoever goes to war seeks victory and by God’s grace we have managed to make it to the semifinals stage of the competition,” Tagoe said.

“We stay in the same hotel with Nigeria and I believe as they are on the verge of topping their group, we could meet them in the semifinal stage, so it will be a pleasure to play them.”

“I watched their game against Mali and I think it will be better for us to meet Mali in the final than Nigeria because the standard of the Nigerians is not what we’ve been accustomed to so if we meet them, I think we have a great chance of making it to the final.”
