Ghanaian actor, John Dumelo
Actor John Dumelo has been ranked as the Most Influential Ghanaian Actor on Social media according to the 2017 Ghana Social Media Rankings spearheaded by Avance Media, CliQAfrica, Eazzy Social and Dream Ambassadors Foundation GH.
Dumelo who retains his position from the 2016 ranking, also gained over 1.1 Million new followers across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram recording over 7.6 million followers in total.
1st runner-up, Yvonne Nelson who also retains her position from the previous ranking, gained 1.3 million new followers across the three platforms monitored making her the most followed Ghanaian actress on social media with over 7.8 million followers.
According to the report, Dumelo recorded a marginal level of engagement with his pages, making it the most influential.
This category recorded no new entry but has actors such as Nadia Buari, Nana Ama McBrown, and Emelia Brobbey potentially making the ranking in subsequent editions.

With appraisal to the 2016 Rankings, John Dumelo, Yvonne Nelson and Jackie Appiah maintained their prominent positions whiles Juliet Ibrahim and Lydia Forson moved from 5th and 10th positions to 4th and 5th positions respectively.
The ranking which is based on the GSMR Score was analysed from their Social Media followings, Growth Difference, Engagements, Post Reaches and Mentions.
The 2017 Ghana Social Media Rankings was conducted by Avance Media, CliQAfrica, Eazzy Social and Dream Ambassadors Foundation GH in partnership Pearl Richards Foundation.
