An aspiring Ashanti Regional Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and communications team member, Mr. Dennis Kwakwa has admonished youth in the party to emulate the late Chairman of the party’s Council of Elders in the region, lawyer Akenten Appiah Menkah.

“Every youth in the party must follow the footsteps of our late grandfather who worked as a selfless politician for the party and Ghana as his contribution to our democracy”, he admonished.

“If we are able to do this, NPP will stay in power for a longer time”, Mr. Dennis Kwakwa spoke to mynewsgh.com’s reporter Kwabena Danso-Dapaah following the death of the 82-year-old party’s founding father.

The veteran politician had been battling an illness for some time now until his demise Tuesday night

The private legal practitioner and businessman is known for producing the infamous Appino soap and also served as a Minister of State in the Kofi Abrefa Busia-led administration in the Second Republic.

He played a key role in the NPP’s 2016 campaign.

The governing party in a statement signed by acting General Secretary, John Boadu, has directed all party flags to fly at half-mast for seven (7) days as a mark of respect in honour of his memory.
