Preparations towards the one-week memorial service of the late Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng who was well known as Ebony Reigns, is presently ongoing at the St Martin De Porres school park in Dansoman, Accra.

Already, chairs and canopies have been arranged and as expected, dozens of sympathizers are on the grounds to extend their condolences to the bereaved family.

In any typical Ghanaian society, after the passing of a dear one, family and friends meet a week after the death mainly to make plans towards the organization of the funeral rites and also give opportunity for those who may not have been able to a pay courtesy call to the family, to do so.

The event will be the largest assemble of the late Ebony’s family, friends and well-wishers since her passing after being involved in a drastic car accident on the Kumasi-Sunyani road, last week.

Ebony died alongside two others – Franky Kuri and Lance Corporal Vondee Atsu – who were with her in the vehicle while journeying to Accra.

The ‘sponsor’ hit maker died alongside two others, a close friend and a military officer who according to her father, was her bodyguard.

Born 16 February 1997 Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng aka Ebony, Ghanaian dancehall/Afrobeats artist who is widely known for her hits ‘Sponsor’ and ‘Kupe’, was exposed to the music industry by Bullet her manager.

She proved herself worthy to be maintained in the industry after her first song “Dancefloor”, in December 2015 became a hit and was nominated for the unsung category at the 2016 Ghana Music Awards.
