Amidu should’ve apologized to Ablakwa – Anyenini

Private Legal Practitioner, Sampson Lardi Anyenini  has said Special Prosecutor nominee, Martin Amidu should have apologized to Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa after he accused him of authoring an article he found offensive.

The former Attorney General at his vetting on Tuesday insisted that Mr Ablakwa wrote the said article in spite of persistent denial by the former Deputy Minister of Education.

Speaking to Bola Ray on Starr Chat on Starr FM Wednesday, Lawyer Sampson Lardi Anyenini said Mr Amidu got it wrong.

“I think it was so wrong for him to insist that as far as he’s concerned he believed it was Okudzeto and he keeps that believe, that’s so wrong. Because he knows that he’s dealing with legal processes and that’s what he’s good at, and in legal processes you can’t prove that he’s the one particularly when someone else has come to say I’m the one who did it. He absolutely doesn’t have any prove and he didn’t give any. My expectation was that, at that point he would show the whole world that I’m not as difficult as you think.

“I expected him to say having come to that knowledge I regret I didn’t apologize early enough but it’s never late to apologize. In my estimation it took so much away from him because I can speak about that and speak about that this moment.
