Assistant Coach of the Black Stars, Maxwell Konadu fears lack of competitive games for Kotoko and Aduana could affect them in their Africa campaign.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Aduana Stars will be engaged in Africa Inter Club competitions this weekend. Asante Kotoko will host CARA Club of Congo in the CAF Confederation Cup at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday whilst Aduana Stars play away to Al Tahhady of Libya in Egypt.

Speaking to Kumasi based radio station Oyerepa FM, Maxwell Konadu, bemoaned that the inability of these clubs to play in league matches and international friendlies may affect the performances of the two teams.

“To some extent I agree with those who say that failure to play league matches would affect the performance of our teams in Africa in terms of match fitness.

Both teams should have played enough top notch friendlies to get them ready, Now that the league has been postponed and it might affect their performance”.
