Upscale Entertainment, a promising member of the Ghanaian showbiz industry donated items to Potter’s village an orphanage located in the hearts of Dodowa, Accra on Sunday January 21.

The rising Entertainment house donated worthwhile provisions like clothes, food, drinks, shoes, water, books and other important learning materials accompanied with a very good sum of money to the orphanage.

The team said they were inspired to fulfill this generous deed after they visited them during Christmas and were touched by their story and the desire to make the world a better place for everyone.

President of Baby Jet Promotions who also doubles as a partner of the team empowered the children to ‘challenge themselves to reach greater heights’. In his words, “The greatest people in the world are people who no one dreamt or thought they would come from behind to achieve greatness. If you want to become a footballer, you can become the best, it’s all a matter of challenging yourself.”

Potter’s Village came to life after Dr. Jane Irina Adu received the calling of God to quit the teaching career and go into helping children neglected by their families and society. Potter’s Village currently houses about one hundred and thirty children with great future. Potter’s have been able to graduate eight children who successfully passed their BECE in 2017 but some restraints with finances stifled their furtherance to the next level. Management of the school have however been able to buy some provisions and provide shelter for their students to join SHS next academic year.

Potter’s Village currently operates from a rented compound house but efforts are being made to build their an improved facility at Dodowa.

The Chief Executive Officer of Upscale Entertainment, Roni Yeboah said “our primary objective is to help you build your own place of abode so that you can have a beautiful place to stay and learn. We plan to go a long way with you and hope you also adopt us.”

Beneficiaries of the company, expressing their gratitude recounted the trauma they had to face during their stay in the community school and how they were ridiculed because they were orphans.

A situation that necessitated the creation of a temporal school at their place of abode.
