Luanda — Representatives of the country’s several religious denominations Wednesday, here, appealed for the creation of mechanisms to control proliferation of churches and regulate their activity in Angola, according to the values established by the State.
The proposal comes expressed in the final communiqué of the Forum on the Religious Phenomenon in Angola promoted by the Ministry of Culture on June 14-15, in the National Assembly.
In the same document, the participants recommended also that inter-religious dialogue should be promoted, toward providing inter-ecclesial unity and sociability.
The Forum on Religious Phenomenon was held for two days and aimed at bringing together different intelligences to get better information about religion in Angola, as well as the new religious denominations and their impact in the communities.
