World Championships and All Africa Games qualifying times once again proved elusive at the sixth and final leg of the Athletics Kenya and National Bank of Kenya weekend meetings at Kamariny Stadium in Iten.

Gothenburg half marathon winner Joyce Chepkurui missed the women’s 10,000m qualifying mark by 1:70.4 minutes after winning her race in 33.15.3. In the women’s 5,000m, Margaret Masai posted an impressive 16:51.3 to win the race but she missed to dip under the 15:14.00 qualifying standard.
