Prosecutors performed a search operation at the DFB’s Frankfurt headquarters on Wednesday, the German FA have revealed.

The investigation concerned alleged cheating by individuals participating in the Fifa Players’ Agent Exam.

“We can confirm that the Frankfurt district attorney has gathered information about the operations for the Fifa Players’ Agent Exam,” DFB media director Ralf Kotter revealed in an official statement.

“It must be emphatically clear that this is not a case against the DFB, but authorities have determined it a case against certain unknown individuals.”

Last year, a Kicker report stated that answers for the examination could be purchased for €2,000, prompting Fifa to halt distribution of answers to national associations prior to the test’s administration.

This is not the first time this season that the DFB has been raided. In October, tax collectors investigated referee pay.
