Prime Minister Kamal al-Ganzouri met today the newly appointed Minister of Interior Muhammad Ibrahim Yusuf to discuss the elections-security plan in the two coming phases of the elections to People’s Assembly.
Talks will also include discussions about how to regain security on Egyptian streets.
MENA reported that al-Ganzouri listened to the Interior Ministry’s plans drawn up in collaboration with the Armed Forces to secure the elections and guarantee the of voters’ security and that of the staff working in polls-related positions.
The second phase of the elections is to start on the 14th and 15th of this month in nine governorates: Gizas, SHarqiya, Sohag, Buhaira, Suez, Ismailiya, Beni Swef and Aswan.
