Schalke striker Raul
Dinamo Moscow is the latest club to be credited with an interest in signing Schalke striker Raul during the winter transfer window.
According to Russian reports, the former Real Madrid star has been eyed up as a potential target in January, as the 34-year-old’s two-year contract begins to run its course with the Royal Blues, who may not want to part with the attacker for nothing in the summer.
However, the publication also reports that English side Fulham are also in the race for his signature, while there is alleged interest from the Middle East, implying that a deal would not be easy to thrash out.
Raul has been in sparkling form in front of goal for Schalke since his arrival from the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer of 2010, scoring 20 league goals in 49 Bundesliga appearances in the process.
The Spaniard had previously expressed his happiness in Germany, commending his club’s fans for their affection towards him, while it had been suggested that he would be willing to take a pay cut in order to remain with Huub Stevens’ men.
Schalke feature in Bundesliga matters on Friday, when they travel to Hertha Berlin.
