Roberto Aquilani’s move from Liverpool to Fiorentina is assumed to be called off according to Sky Sports.
The two sides seemed to have been at logger-heads with each other over past weeks in order to come to a mutual agreement for the misfit midfielder.
It was understood that the two sides had finally come to terms with one another when a proposed loan move to the Artemio Franchi was made, however; the player remains unhappy at the deal and it has since been said that he has called off the transfer.
It is believed that the ex-Roma player would prefer a permanent return to his homeland after having spent last season out on loan to Juventus.
The stalling of the agreement comes as a blow to Fiorentina who are looking to offload Riccardo Montolivo, possibly to AC Millan, after he failed to renew his contract with the Tuscan side.
