DOL Elects 4 Onto GFA Exec Committee

    Forty-eight delegates representing the Division One League yesterday voted four candidates onto the GFA’s Executive Committee after elections.

    Fred Pappoe (41 votes), George Kwasi Afriyie (36 votes), Wilfred Kwaku Osei (30) and Kweku Eyiah (24 votes) picked the majority of total votes to take up the Division One League’s four slots on the Executive Committee after one round of voting.

    Ahead of Thursday’s voting, Nana Adjei Ampofo, a contestant announced his withdrawal from the race leaving eleven (11) candidates to compete for the slots on the Executive Committee.

    The other candidates for the elections polled as follows: Delali Senaye, 23 votes; Kingsley Osei Bonsu, 11 votes; P. Hayford Cudjoe, 7 votes; Oloboi Commodore, 6 votes; Ronald Jojo Duncan, 5 votes; Nimo Peter Kwasi, 3 votes and Mac Paradise Okocha , 2 votes.
