A group of former Members of Parliament have formed an association that will bring together all former legislators since independence.
The association, code named ‘The association of former Members of Parliament’ has already registered over 50 members from different parts of the country.
Former Bundibugyo woman MP Jane Alisemera is the chairperson of the association, deputized by former Mityana North MP Gordon Ssematiko.
Treasurer is former Bunya South MP James Kubeketerya and former Bududa woman MP Oliver Wonekha is for publicity.
Alisemera told journalists in Kampala on Friday that the association will enable them continue serving the country even outside Parliament.
