Bayer Leverkusen have set their sights on Manchester United goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak, according to Polish publication Fakt.
The Poland international is seen as a short-term replacement for injured Bayer No.1 Rene Adler, who
sustained tendon damage in a 4-0 pre-season victory over Red Bull Salzburg on July 3, and underwent surgery to repair degenerated tissue.
Тhe BayArena outfit are looking for a temporary alternative to the injured Germany international, who could be out for up to six months, and Kuszczak is one of the names on their short-list.
Kuszczak was second choice behind the now-retired Edwin van der Sar for the past four seasons at Old Trafford, and with the arrival of David de Gea from Atletico Madrid, the Pole is set to be a back-up once again.
Last month Kuszczak threatened to leave the Premier League champions if he was not guaranteed a starting place.
