Dhegtur — The situation of central Somalia village of Dhegtur is still tense after deadly clannish clash as death toll rose to 35.
Witnesses and inhabitants say that more than 75 mainly the combatants were wounded in the clashes.
Local residents said the armed militias of the two fraternal clans are still amassing and making hostility activities in parts of Mudug region.
Another deadly confrontation is looming. Locals say sounds of guns can’t be heard in those areas in this morning of Monday.
After months of lull, the clashes re-erupted early Sunday morning after two armed clan militias squabbled over wells and grazing lands in the town of Dhegtur, one the of areas the drought severely affected.
However, the president of Somalia, Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed called for immediate cease fire in central Somalia clan related confrontations.
